I can't really judge the size of this very well - it's Freelander sized, I guess? It's proportions are very Mini to me, so it's hiding it's bulk pretty well. Figure on Weight or Size, anyone?

Either way I think it's pretty nifty and looks great. If this steals sales from the X6 then it's a job well done.

I'm betting on Freelander size indeed. Or X1 for that matter.

Also this seems lika Ford Kuga with a bigger price tag. So, no thanks.

And a Land Rover with two wheel drive is a preposterous idea.

So will it fail the stupid grade test that are usually in their dealerships?

Everyone knows those are for display only... but it would be interesting to watch 'em drive one of these on.

So, is Rover going after Infinity's burgeoning crossover market share?

I'd prefer one of these to a Kuga, Plus we don't get them down under.

    It's just...cool. I know I should hate it but I just don't.

I've got some prices and specifications for the Range Rover Evoque.

Prices will start from £27,955 and rise to £44,320.

There are five engine and transmission combinations to choose from; the 150bhp eD4 diesel and 150bhp TD4 diesel are available with a six-speed manual transmission only while the 240bhp Si4 petrol is available with a six-speed automatic only. The 190bhp SD4 diesel is available with both. The eD4 diesel is a two-wheel drive only model; the rest of the range is four-wheel drive.

    The starting prices for each engine are: eD4 £27,955, TD4 £28,705, SD4 £29,705 and Si4 £38,995.

There are three trim levels available; Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. Pure and Prestige are available across all four diesel engines while Dynamic is available only on the SD4 and on the Si4 Petrol.

Finally, there are two body styles; the 5-door and the Coupe, the latter demanding a £1000 premium.

Standard kit on the Pure includes 18in alloys, leather seats, touch screen display, climate control, Bluetooth, climate control, parking sensors and on the four-wheel driver versions, Terrain Response and Hill Descent.

The Prestige adds 19in alloys, satellite navigation, rear camera and automatic headlights and windscreen wipers. The Dynamic adds 20in alloys, Adaptive Dynamics and aluminium pedals.

On top of this there is a TECH pack available for the Pure which adds much of the standard kit from the Prestige at a cost of £1900 and a LUX pack for the Prestige and Dynamic which adds the likes of digital TV, keyless entry, dual-view touch-screen display, and a surround sound audio system for £4325

I think this cars going to do very well.

The more I look at it the more it looks like a sharpened Ford Edge (get it? ). Which can't be a good thing.
