    Best Trackday Car

In your opinion, what's the best Trackday Car?

    Radical SR3 Turbo
    Radical SR4
    Palmer Jaguar JP1
    Ariel Atom 275
    Catheram Seven R500
    Lotus Exige S2
    Lotus Elise
    Vauxhall VXR220

...for me it's Radical SR3. Vote!

I'd be curious to hear more about the JP1. It sounds pretty reasonable on paper. You could probably do with a Westfield or two on there really. I'd probably go for the Atom. It's not necessarily the fastest, but not many of the others are as useable on the road.

Why is the R500 Caterham on there? It's not the top model any more, the CSR and the R500 Evolution both beat it. I'd vote for a CSR if it was up there.

Here's the low down on a few of them at least:clickey-click

    SR3, XTR4, Atom, R500, JP1 and a Grinnall Scorpion 4 for good luck.

You could also add the Turner LMP to the list. A mix of SR3 and JP1.
Or Lotus 340R... That's the one I'd be inclined to go for.
    Thanks for all the fish

I like the Westfield SEight because it is very fast and makes a very nice noise. I quite like the Caterham Blackbird with its 1.1 litre bike engine. If I had to use it every day, I'd be inclined to buy a S1 Exige.

I'm taking the Atom but it was a tough choice. I like the Jag JP1 and the Lotuses (Or would it bu Loti?) but the Atom was awesome on Top Gear.

I also like the Loti/Lotuses (hehe). But if I were building one for myself I'd get a 240z or a '65-66 Mustang

The Ariel Atom is the best track day car, no questions asked. But if you want to keep your face, there is no point buying one

The Radical is way better than the Atom and the Deronda is a close second and a little more practical than the Atom. The Atom's getting all the press because of Top Gear exposure - more than it merits in my opinion

I think the best trackday car is the Radical SR3 Turbo but, i'd rarther have a Lotus Exige S2 for track and road.
