    Interesting Plane

This is possibly the silliest thing I have ever seen

So silly in fact that I'm going to try it.

awesome. i wonder how many 'engines' it would take to power an actual real plane? probably several trillion...

You'll probably take their wings off holding them like that.

There are "actual" flly-powered model airplanes built after the fasion of the featherweight indoor flyers powered by rubber bands.

They'll fly for some time, usually hitting something before the little guy tuckers out and dies (of shame).

This thing is rubbish, however, and you could probably achieve similar results by gluing flies to almost anything light.

A bear-powered airplane, however.... that would be something.

Also check out the Gossamer Albatross, which was the world's first airplane powered by a frenchman.

I'm looking for instructions to build your own airplane powered by a french cyclist, thought I suspect that you could probably achieve satisfactory resulty by just replacing the word "fly" with "frenchman" in the instructions featured on this link.

tried it before, it's incredibly hard to not only get the flies, but to glue them to the stick without waking them up. It's really funny to tool around with frozen flies, though.

The one reason that wouldn't work for me is the idea of touching a fly.

They are way to hard to catch...so I would probably get mad and smash them with a fly swatter

Are we sensing the sequel to Snakes on a Plane?

    Flies on a Plane?

Flies are hard to catch I would think that would be the downfall of the plan.

and then some genius is gonna come up with..."Seagull Powered Planes" First catch 2 seagulls, freeze em and stick em on a pole and shove a stick up their ass to wake them up......

Then..."Shark Powered Boat" First catch 4 sharks, give em sleepin pills and then put George Bush in front of em to wake em up, then tie em on a stick...easy huh?

One of my first genuine "LOL"s on this site, joke thread aside

I would try this, but I think it's very, very cruel to the flies. I'd rather humiliate wasps- then it'd be like a fighter or something. Imagine a small matchstick plane with 4 angry wasps on it coming after you
