Well I like the throaty sound, but we're building a super car, not a muscle car, maybe we should go for something different..

    Just my opinion...

Go for the VZ GTO exhaust twin on both sides If it's a LS1

Actually, we could use duals like the kit car guys that run the LS1 use, meaning, off the shelf parts with most of the research done.

You guys still haven't found a decent trans-axle, so you can't say how the engine will be oriented or how the exhaust piping will have to be vectored.

But once that is done, we'll see.

oooo, never really thought about kitting it other than longtitudanly
Is there a transaxle that can mount to the rear of a transveres LS1 ?
Wouldn't we have major issues with plumbing for the exhaust if we did ?
It couldn't fit below/rear ( as a lot of front transverse engines do ) or we'd be losing the benefit of the height we've chosen the OHV config for.
Any transverese rear pickup trannies out there ?

It's been done many, many times in the LS1 fieros, so we have off the shelf parts available if you go transverse, but I think I found a good solution for the transaxle.
'cause its too long for some certain person

How about we mirror the F1 exhaust exiting flush with the upper bodywork ?

Look kinda neat, no fart cans sticking out the rear and as it's OUR car we dont' ahve to listen to any government safety busy-bodies complaining how it might singe little johhnies hair if he stuck his head over it !!

ok, i forget which is which (bad memory for directions kind of thing) longitudinally is when the lines of cylinder are parrallel to the car, and transverse is when its perpendicular, right? just want to make sure, before i say anything that makes no sense.....again

That F1 style exhaust sounds cool.
