    Exterior
    -2 door
    -Slightly lower
    -slightly wider
    -Different design/platform to the RX8
-A little bit sharper design to the third Generation RX-7.

    Engine/gearbox/drivetrain
-New engine, maybe a Turbocharged 1.6L rotary, or somthing else unexpected, with a hydrogen option for all the tree hugers out there.
-Try 3 spark plugs per housing for good burning (needed because of the unusual shape of the rotary combustion chambers, resulting in less unburnt fuel and better emissions)
-Engine producing 350Bhp through a 6 (or why not even an optional 7 speed) gearbox / Light flywheel, LSD.

    Wheels/suspension
-fully independant suspension with front and rear strut braces
    -19''x10'' wheels and tires.

    Interior
-2 seater, semi racing/sports bucket seats.
-Aluminum trim/theme throughout the car (not plasticy, kinda like the zonda)
-Fully digital Guages (even a 'head up display')
    -Short shifter
    -Racing style pedals
-Basically one step up from the already awesome RX8 interior.

Im sure there is more but i can think right now, so that all for me.

2 doors, 2 seats, beautiful curvy body, pop up headlights (Come on its a RX7 tradition, long live the pop ups, even tho they are dead) a update on the Renesis with a twin turbo set up. About 360bhp with a 400hp mazdaspeed option.

    Isn't the RX8 the successor of RX7?

its ment to be, but aparently there is talk of a next generation rx7. These series of threads is more of a WHAT IF senario than anything else.

I wouldnt say that, its just a new model of RX, its not the next generation of the RX7 at all.

The RX8 looks too bulky to be the successor of the RX7, if MAZDA does bring out another RX7, they will have to continue with their past traditions, a sleek, 2 door.
