    S.u.v.

Ok, well some of you may have seen some of my other car choices on other threads, but i was thinking from a practicality stand-point, an SUV isnt actually that bad of a choice, so i was thinking which one?

    well some options are

    Yukon Denali
    Yukon
    Tahoe
    Expedition
    X5

they are all about equal in terms of engine size, except the x5 is a lil smaller

im ok with all of their looks, but i dont really know about owning a GM product, i just think they have kind of shoddy quality

so i was wondering if some of you guys would choose your favorite one and say why, and dispell any rumors ive heard about crappy quality!

Yukon Denali- is a nice, the interior is more comfortable then the normal yukon. I dont know of any problems that the yukon has had. Are you planing to just keep it on the road? or are you in anyway a hunter or fisherman planning to hit some dirt trails. (I dont mean anything to hard core, just rough) GM fore wheel drive is pretty reliable.

SUVs suck, unless you're going to use them to the FULL EXTENT. This means using all of the space, hauling people, and using it offroad. So therefor, SUVs are almost never completely practical. They also down gas like an alcoholic taking jack daniels on new years.

They cost, weigh and consume more than a similar estate whilst offering less space.

BMW 545i SE Touring (w/ optional 6 speed slush)
    £45,725
    17.2mpg
    333bhp
    0-60 6.0
    155mph
    500 litres luggage space

    BMW X5 4.4i SE Auto
    £47,750
    15.9mpg
    320bhp
    0-60 7.5
    137mph
    465 litres luggage space

I suppose you can argue that not many estates can be had in the US for a similar price for an SUV seeing as most American manufacturers seem to flatly refuse to build them leaving "expensive" imports as the only option.

Id say Yukon Denali, but your pretty well off with any of those.
And cut the crap with "GM quality", its perfectly fine, Ive never heard anyone have abnormal trouble with them. Hell I see much more BMWs in the shop than I do any GMs...

BTW SUVs have more space and comfort than "estates."
This isnt like the UK where road space is limited, SUVs fit fine on our roads.

4 of those 5 are unknown to me. (don't think I am missing much), and the one I know, the X5, tops my list of most hated cars.

Id take the X5, just for over all looks and performance. Its also one of the less extreme SUVs on that list, other ones are just to big... like the denali. The lawers next door own a denali for their big boat and all around its a good car, but i dont have a rich ass bost, id take the X5.

I don't think SUV's are that bad. Yea they don't get good gas mileage but if someone wants one i don't see whats wrong with that. My parents have a Honda Pilot and it's a nice car i like it alot.

If you buy a car you don't need to use it to its full extent. Some people buy jeeps and don't use them off road. Some people buy supercars and never take them close to the top speed and most supercars get horrible gas mileage too.
