No, you dont "need" an SUV, but you do need some ground clearence. BTW alot of the SUVs sold over here are 4X4.Originally Posted by fpv_gtho

Your general car on the street will have "some" ground clearance, ive seen heaps of people over here that'd take cars and vans offroad to some places, theres this big abandoned bit of land the army used to own that heaps of people go dirtbike riding on and theyve taken old vans and cars down. Shit ive even been down a reasonable sort of 4wd track just to see a Ford Transit at the end

if i need a SUV, i'd just borrow it for the weekend, off a freind or fa,ily member

Yeah but the mercedes is around £75,000 and it looks to old fashioned. Even though it can go most places and is very fast

I completely disargee with that. They are not old-fashioned, and the reason it cost so much is because it's a merc with they didn't screw upOriginally Posted by 6'bore

The Gelaendewagen is an off-roader rather than a SUV.
There is a difference.

It is old fashioned it was introduced in 1979.
It is an absolute beast, I wouldn't say no. (I'd have to be a proper version mind, none of this AMG nonsense)
