The NSU Prinz was sold to Egypt where they gave it a bodywork makeover and sold it unter the Ramses moniker. Not too successfully, as I'd like to add.

1985 – 1988 Karenjy, Tananarive
This Madagascan company presented the Mazana off-roader in 1985. It used a 2068cc Renault diesel engine and 4x4 transmission with a 5-speed gearbox. The Iraka was a second model, resembling a Volkswagen Beetle in appearance. It used a 1397cc Renault petrol engine and had only two driven wheels. The project manager, Rabearivelo Andriamalagasy, planned to make 500 cars per year and sell complete production lines to the other African nations but this plan was apparently nit fruitful. Neither was a new Citroen BX diesel-based model called Tily, which in 1987 was under development in collaboration with the French company Tejlhol.

Ranger (South Africa)
"The Ranger was a General Motors car brand that lasted from 1968 to 1976. The brand was used in conjunction with two markets, an automobile marketed as "South Africa's Own Car", built in Port Elizabeth from 1968 to 1973, and another model range that was produced from 1970 to 1976 in Antwerp, Belgium, by General Motors Continental SA.
The cars built in this period were a mixture of parts from other General Motors products and featured a body shell similar to the Opel Rekord with internal parts from various large Vauxhalls and Holdens. However, as the second generation cars became too similar to the models marketed by Chevrolet in South Africa and Opel in Europe, it was decided that this kind of brand was irrelevant and so the marque was discontinued." by Wikipedia

[email protected]
1st South African sports car was the GRP Protea
Followed shortly after by the GSM Dart (Delta in UK) and Flamingo Coupe.
More recently there is the Perana Z-One resurrecting the name from the modified Perana Fords of Basil Green (V8 Capri's etc).
Some very famous designers have come from South Africa as well like Gordan Murray and Pierre Terblanche
There was also the Alfa engined Assagai

EBM also produced the Manx and Mangusta which were modern variations on the Lotus 7 concept of minimalism but with mid engine and independent suspension etc. Some 80 units were produced before the Tazio which used mainly blueprinted Chev 5 5.7 l v8 end Audi transaxles. A few were built with othe engines such as the 4.5l all ally Ford with Vortex blower and BMW V8.
Some EBM Tazio's in the UK heve been re-badged as Bugattis.
Saroukh el-Jamahiriya is seriously considered to be put into production. This prototype has been developed by Italian Tesco TS, which took part in Murcielago development. 5,5 meters, 1,8 tons, 230hp V6 and promised 7 sec for 0-100 km/h.
