Just a little thing for you spastik.

The Saturn company has been doing little Suicide-rear doors in saturn coupes since 1998 or so, so in reality it's Mazda who copied them. The door may have only been on the 1 side, but it still counts as a suicide rear door.

Wow, you really need to find something more to occupy your time if that pisses you off.

No, but I don't get pissed off about it. I just buy a different car.

Saturn travelled in to the future, copied Mazda, then went back, in their rip off of the Delorean

ive driven an ion, when i owned an accord, and while they felt fairly similar, i really didnt like it.. the gauges threw me way off... they really are in an unnatural place. having the speedo there is fine (e.g. the mini) but there is no indicators right in front of you. it isnt the handiest spot to look at stuff, takes your eyes off the road for too long. i wasnt in a redline, but for a "performance" car, i would want the tach right in front of my face, where i could watch it peripherally. couldnt do that in the ion.

Many cars had all their gauges in the middle of the dash in the past. Most classic cars (and I don't mean muscle cars - older than that) had all their gauges in a single cluster in the middle of the dash. New cars that do - Toyota Echo, MINI, Z8 did - I know there are others, but I can't think of them right now.

If you don't get the sat-nav package, the speedometer is in the middle of the dash.

Just like the original one did.

Sounds to me like you're just coming with excuses for disliking an American car.
