    The Best Car Advert Ever

What do you think has been the best car television advert ever? or the worst? And how do the adverts differ in other countries?

In my opinion the best ever car advert shown on British television has to be the Honda "Cogs" one.

the other honda adverts are great too, the ones with the diesel engine 'make something better' advert and the frv advert with the coloured dots

another of my favourites is the citroen c4 advert. it has great music

hmm maybe i watch too much tv...

That is a fantastic ad. I imagine this kind of things for a living. I'm an advertising copywriter. So I love to watch wonderful creations like this one. I think this is an amazing spot, not only due to the idea, but to the funny and fantastic details of the sequence. I love it.

I think most Honda adverts are good and this magazine and billboard is also quite good.

The american ads dont have humour they just have a picture of a car and tells you how much for. For some reason that is all that is needed to sell it to the yanks.

The new Golf GTI commercial is sweet!
Best of it it the reverse 180° turn at the end stopping right infront of the camera.

I wouldn't suppose anyone has seen the adverts for the ford sport ka?

''The ka's Evil Twin''? Man they are funny
"The thunder of 1001bhp would send a sonic boom through his carbon fibre shell, crack it in half and leave a wet puddle on the fancy leather seat."

Is that the one where the hood opens and hits the bird or something?

If so, it's a good one!

Well, Americans too have a great sence of humor.
Take a look of this Ford ad from 1980

The BMW films would have to be high on the list too.

There is another one with a cat with it's head caught by the sunroof. Both ads were rejected by Marketing Dep. of Ford. But as they were filmed before, someone had the temptation of sharing it by e-mail with a friend....
and then, it became hugely famous although Ford didn't wanted it to...
They had problems with associations that defend animal rights...

A cat getting beheaded is not what i call funny. I find it kinda macabre but that sure is a matter of taste.

I liked that one where the back of the mini was already mounted on a tow-car and the driver of the tow-car
was just about to write down the plate number when the mini driver came back, got into his mini and drove
away and not even noticed the tow-car he was pulling behind...

I hate cats so I don't care what happens to them.
