I think its dodge, cars are much more powerful and the Viper SR/T 10 looks better than the Chevrolet Corvette C6 to me.
Dodge has the edge right now with its 500 HP SRT-10 (Viper) but Chevy will catch up with its own 500 HP car, the Z06. Historicaly, which is better? I'll post stats on different cars of the past tomorrow, I'm tired right now, gotta go to bed.

It's very hard for me to choose between these brands because they both have some awesome cars.
The Dodge Charger up to 1971 is one of my favorite cars.
Also the Dodge Super Bee was one bad ass car.
But also the Chevrolet Chevelle SS was one of the sweetest muscle cars ever.
Not to forgett the Chevrolet Camaro.
IMO the 1st and the 2nd generation of the Camaro were just raw looking muscle cars.
Also the 2nd and the 3rd generation of the Chevrolet Corvette are just awesome.
I just love the good old american muscle cars.
One reason for that might be that there has never been anything like a muscle car in germany.
To decide between both brands i have to decide between my favorite cars of both brands.
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
LS6 454 V8 450bhp@5600rpm, 500lb-ft@3600rpm.
0-60 in 6.1 sec, 1/4 mile in 13.7 sec @ 103mph.
VS.
1968 Dodge Charger R/T
426 V8 Hemi 425bhp@5000rpm, 490lb-ft@4000rpm.
0-60 in 5.3 sec, 1/4 mile in 13.8 sec @ 105mph.
This might be one of the toughest choices i ever made but i think would take the Chevelle.
So Chevrolet got my vote in this comparo.

Thats a hard one. But If you go for all time I would have to say Chevy. As Dodge didn't make anything that great IMHO for almost 2 decades (most of the 70s,all of the 80s, and the first year of the 90s). While the Corvette and Camaro held strong.
97 Viper GTS
93 Dodge Viper (Sold)

I'd say that chevys were the better cars up until Dodge brought out the Viper
well......chevy only has the vette and camaro for me. they ar nice, but the vipers are a huge plus for dodge for me. the coronets were amazing (1970-71), and the hemi chargers were crazy. also, chevy only has 2 generations of vettes for me really, the stingray c3's, and the new c6. whereas the only thing i dont like ut of dodge, is the new charger. so, through overwhelming odds (mostly because dodge has more cars i like which is important, and has the viper) dodge wins in my vote.

I agree- a very difficult decision. Since I am a Mopar (and Cadillac) enthusiast, I would pick Dodge. Dodge made some great engines like the 340, 383, 440 and 426-Hemi (although I realize Chevy also made great engines like 283, 302, 327, 350, 396/402, 409, 427, 454). Overall, in general, I would say that the Mopar muscle cars of the '60s were a little more reliable than the Chevy. I have no statistics or anything proving it, but just from what I've seen and read.Originally Posted by andy.muc

I'd go with chevy, i'm a little chevy baised, but i'm not against dodges, the looks of the chevelles, camaros, impalas, corvettes are just timeless.
