    Helem car

It's been pointed out to me that there was already a car built that is closer to the Alpine Berlinette.

    It was the "Helem V6".

This was based on the Renault Spider biut was modified and had a hard top.
As well as body changes the biggest update on the Spider was to replace the 2litre I4 with an updated 3litre V6 from the A610 !!

Almost all of the links I can find are dead

Anyone know anything about the car ?
    ( Nothing on UCP - c'mon guys )

Here's one picture I did find to seee if it tempts you

I really have never heard of this car...
It looks very cool though, the side intakes remind me of the Koenigsegg

If I had a Renault I would want to disguise it under something like that too. Looks good.

oh, close to getting -1 rep for that dig.

    Cruel !!

Mind you I always say the A610 is an Alpine and the Bagheera a Matra ( sold by Peugeot / Talbot ) but French is never boring

Were the Spiders on track or road ?
I ask because I wondered how many other countries took the front windscreen option they had to add for the UK version.
It ruinded the purity of the wind-deflector version

We never got good coverage for the BPR in the UK.
Did you ever see the Le Mans A610 ? After 95, it was raced in BPR.
I'm trying to find photos, trace it's history and track it down.
If you know drop me a note.
    Cheers

Road.... Nooooo.. Renault never imported these car's to Australia because it was not here for a very long time, there are only two imported privately here both from UK with wind-deflectors as i recall..
