The MX5 is a very nice and affordable roadster, but who needs such a hat?

a hard top convertible isn't really needed for the mx-5
it just makes it heavier and slower
also no one really needed a hard top convertible, you could just put on a removable hard top

Oh yeah, this retractable hard top adds a massive 37 kg to a standard MX-5.

But, there is a solution - never fill up your gas tank to max, leave it half-empty.

As revo said, this ads a mere 37kgs to the overall weight. And having a hardtop hanging form the garage ceilling is far from practical.
The fear of having your softop cut at a night outing is real too.
I prefer the looks of the soft-top, but if I was to buy a new one I'd go for this version.
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.
