12 cylinders or walk!
e39 M5
See my avatar... the 328 and Mille Miglia Coupe are pretty sweet, too.
Never own more cars than you can keep charged batteries in...
My favourite BMW is the E60 M5. I like the M1 and the 2002 Turbo too.
M635 for me. classic lines and some get-up-and-go

The original M3 - back when BTCC race cars looked identical to their road going counterparts.
M3 CSL - the later one
M5 - E39 (? the second most recent one)
M5 E60 although I wouldn't buy one I don't think
I also saw an M6 on the road for the first time the other day - looking flippin brilliant.

E30 M3.
Think it's quite obvious that I prefer the E30.
All the oldschool BMW's are favourites cars of me, but the E30 is just one of the most perfect cars to drive every day. I probably would go for a full option 325i for every day use, just as a collection car, for once and a while driving, the M3 offcourse.
I'm undecided between the 328, the 507 and M635 CSI.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
507, 3.0 CSL, M1 and Z1, but nothing from the current Bangle cars!
As a little kiddie I used to lust after the BMW Z1.
Now as a fully grown kiddie I have a bit of a crush on the Z4 M Coupe. If they ever do a CSL version of that then I think it'll be my perfect BMW.

E30 or E36 M3
E39 M5. Comfortable, fast, V8, 6-speed and in my opinion simple, and good looking (not to "look at me"). I hate the new bangle models though which represents the decline of a great company (maybe with the next generation of cars they can take a step back like Porsche).

Girlfriend's brother has a 2004 (I think) M-something for a company car. It's 3-series size, two doors. Drove it once. Fun. We were in The Alps in the snow - traction control on - no worries! Just drive!
