Some websites bring in alot of money and alot of traffic. UCP for example gets thousands of visitors a day I would have thought .. especially if you see how many people who are viewing the forums but havent signed up.

An example I can think of is Games Domain .. made by a bloke as an amatuer gaming site and went on to get hundereds of thousands of hits a week. Yahoo seized the oppurtunity and bought it for MANY MANY thousands and unfortuantley ruined it But still .. Yahoo have been able to get plenty of cash from advertising on the site, very much like Wouter gets money from this site. Even if a site doesnt get much money, if it has loads of hits then it has potential and that potential could be used to gain money with more effective advertising.

It depends on how much Wouter makes monthly/year and the possibilities of expanding the site making it grow and earn even more.

Sentimental value as Scion mentioned is priceless, the site has over 2000 cars, tons of pics from events, a great forum, etc... It is the kind of site that could only be sold for a huge amount of money just because of what it means to the owner (Putting aside earnings)
