    Mazda Suitcase Car

"The Mazda Suitcase car was originally designed and built in 1991 as part of a design contest held at Mazda's Engineering department. One of the engineers had an idea. What if you could get off a plane, get your luggage, and instead of waiting in line for a taxi or shuttle... pop open your suitcase and drive off ?"

What it really needs is a ground-effects kit and big wing.

That is awesome, if the suitcase was a bit bigger and held more technology, it could really work. Make the case out of carbon fibre, have 2 fat wheels stored in the case that you can mount right onto a joint in the axle, stick a small lawnmower engine in there, get a tiny transmission and you're ready to go. (K, this is a lot harder than I thought. Very interesting though)

I remember my dad talking about this back when I was a kid...they had a short bit about it on tv, showed a clip of a guy in a business suit driving down the road...he looked ridiculous but I still want one

just emailed this shit to my dad and he loved it. he said he wants to show it to his colleagues when he gets to japan and ask them about it-looks like this thing has a new chance at production -the chance is like one in 500 though

This would be awesome for traveling, too...screw taxis, I can take my own 'taxi' with me! You can put it on the plane, pick it up when you get wherever you're going, open it up, and voila! You have your own trasportation out to the hotel and back to the airport!
