US $299 and US $399 for the "Premium"

I don't know the release date nor the differences between premium and regular.

Are you going to be able to buy the low entry one and buy a MUCH bigger internal drive from a MUCH cheaper source and get a win-win or will MS brain-damage somethign to rip off the customer (again)

For me the number of bits in a processor is not so relevant as even for the most detailed world co-ordinate mapping doesn't need to go beyond 16 bit.
To put that in context, if a "world" was mapped down to 1mm resolution , then 16 bits would give you that detail ALL THE WAY OUT to objects nearly half a mile away 32 bits just gets even silliar with 1mm resolution on objects all they way out to 25 MILES
SO 128 bits is only for bragging rights AND to utilise smart multiple ALUs to do simultaneous vector math. IF three is a fast enough bus and intelligent cache then it's not so important.

has he ? That was one of the things the early stuff I'd seen was questioned.
    Will Xbox games definately work in Xbox360 ? Got a link/quote ??
What I ment was the CPU will be 64 bit and the GPU (graphics processing unit) will probaly be 256 bit (computer video cards have already achieved this).

    ah right , yes, OK.

[computer geek] number of bits for specialised processors don't really compare well. We built a 1024 bit ALU way back in 78 for a special database processor [/computer geek]

So anyone got a site for the REAL meat of the spec, REAL performance figures, or was the MTV thing all gloss and candy ??

    It wasn't really that special.

10 Minutes of Emo guys playing "music"
10 Minutes of watching some idiots playing X-Box games.
5 Minutes a look at the box and a short talk about it.

Oh well... I wasn't really expecting more from Mtv.
