    MTM/Milltek GTI Mk5.

    268hp/304lb-ft (+34%/+52% HUGE numbers for chip/exhaust)

And a writeup on the 6-speed vs the DSG for good measure...

This will be my next car. It's gonna be a black 2 door with a 6 speed. It's gonna have the Abt Sportline kit, H&R coilovers, and some shiny 18" BBS CH's.

Yes. There are ways to make them fit. Rolled/pulled fenders, widebody flares... Emphasis on the last.

The back is growing on me. There's a few options for changes already.

I ran 18 by 8.5inches in the front and 9 inches in the back and I didn't rub on my 2000 golf GTI.

How about a freakin R32 with the HGP twin turbo setup. Pushes 600BHP. That is simply nuts. HPA the Canadian Dealer for HGP GERMANY has a couple of their R32s with the same layout and they say they top out at 200MPH. They did a launch and it was 2.98 seconds to 60 MPH. Ran low 11s, I think the exact number was 11.26 sec.
The beauty of that layout is that the car looks like every other R32 but has the power of a Carrera GT almost. That's a car!

And the HPA costs about $65,000 US including a donor car.

Its the car plus the kit. I think I would do it but over time of course. That would be awesome but I wonder what the fuel economy would be. Aweful most likely. It would be sick just to roll with one like that though.

i bet with the popularity of the GTi someone will figure out how to reprogram the DSG to disable the automatic redline-upshifts.
