Sadly if it was "normal" RSI which is carpal tunnel then it woudl be operable.
Mine is damage to the lubrication of the sheath ( oo-er missus ) on the tendons in my arms. If I don't do my exercises ( which oddly enough includes playing the piano ! ) and ant-inflamatories then the increased friction causes swelling and I lose feeling in my hands and arms
My work laptop has Voice Recognition and it is brilliant for reports and e-mails.
BUT it's a pain on web pages, so I tend to type here and talk on the Omnibook - though I've not yet tried both simultaneously ( note to self, try this tomorrow )

The one I've used was rubbish.

A sentence like that would come out as "I 1 phone phone phone phone phone fish" I think it had a fetish.

Yeah the old stuff was cr@p - even the really expensive s/w.
The new stuff is brilliant. I continue to use DragonDicatate and can speak at full speed in a Scots accent and get 95+% accuracy !! Slow down just a little and I can get almost perfect
    It's now cheap too !!!

I think the reason why Matra can afford this is because he gets the "Car god Discount"

My company buys all the PCs and voice recognition stuff for me as it was their work that casused the onset of the RSI
AnimationShop came free with PaintShopPro ... which came "free".
Dragon NaturallySpeaking is $99 the Pro version with technical terms, British accents, spelling and better integration is about $1000 !!!

    the benefit of large multi-national.
We worked with Dragon in the early days to define a standard set-up for anyone suffering discomfort while typing. As we wll get laptops anyway it was easy to defien a config for very good VR
It used to be fun back then as yo had to speak at the speed and accent the software looked for - was never "natural" !!!
