    I can't open the trunck !!

Ok guys, I need your help on this one. I noticed that my every time my dad's friend wants to open the trunck (boot) of his 2005 BMW 525d, he turns the car off, pulls the key out and uses the button on it to open it. Obviously i told him there must be an easier way, but he is insisting this is the only way. I looked around and couldnt find any "release" buttons.
    Any ideas ??

its a bmw...theres always SOMETHING weird
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

The trunk is probably too sore to open, since the car got so brutally beaten by the ugly stick.

Well, the design of the modern BMW's leads me to believe that the old 5 series surplus cars where ran into various object on all angles, so it wouldn't be surprising if any of the body pieces are jamming the release mechanism.

I dont think BMW would make such a mistake their should be an other may in the old 5 their used to be a butum under the steering wheel maybe he could find somthing their and if not let him call the dealer and tell him where the butom is cause i dont find any reason why their shouldnt be an other way

    try...

In the E39 5 touring there was a button under the rear wiper (I think this is the name of that stuff you turn on when it rain), at least to open the rear glass. For the whole trunk try to touch the "hidden" space between the BMW symbol and the rear plate, there should be something

Or try to look in the bottom of the door near the floor, usually there are some buttons there... it's got to have a button to open the trunk somewhere...

I'm guessing under/to the side of the driver's seat, or in some unexpected spot on the dash.
