my friend has a 2002 cavalier and it does not open from the inside either( dont worry, we cheked... for a lloooong time). In his case its even worst, he has to get OUT of the car and open it with his key.
Now i would think these kind of mistaked would be common in economy cars and not in 50K pllus machines.

GO HABS GO!
Every time I buy a Porsche, a week later the passenger door stops opening from the outside. It's happened twice now, I'm 2 for 2.
but that absolutely makes NO SENSE !! I just can't comprehend that they did this on purpose and i definetely cant think of it as a mistake.
i had already done all the suggestions posted in this thread and came up with nothing. even the car's owner had spent a lot of time trying to find it and was unable to.

1999 Mustang GT
1974 Ford Country Squire (for sale!)
1991 Jeep Cherokee
1970 Shelby GT500
A friend of mine has a 996 Turbo and from some time now he can't open the engine cover, the worst thing is it's eletricly operated, we can ear the electric motor run but the engine cover doesn't even move. pretty weirdOriginally Posted by Egg Nog

This is for the 06 so they are either adding it or you havent found it yet.Remote Trunk Release Located Inside Vehicle and On Multi-Function Remote

and i just found this
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ncap/cars/3049.html
so its supposed to be there. contact your dealer, they are the people who should know where it is. Of course it should also be in your manual.Interior Trunk Release Std
so we now know its there, just need to find it.
as for the manual, the car was brought by a Belgian citizen in Belgium. but because it was brought from a dealer located in some "french" area of the country, the manual is also in french, making it useless for both the owner and myself.
which is why, i came up with the idea that along with the hard-copy of the manual, they should distribute a CD containing all the languages.
