not sure WHY there is a need for a different thread for the same purpose.
You can go immediately to the new posts in the thread and to the last page in the thread.

in which way does it not ALWAYS work ??

Also if from the "New posts" page you click on the button that looks like a V ( or a down arrow ) agsints the name of the thread then it takes you to the posts that have arrived since you last read the thread. That's the one I use 99% of the time.

( There IS an issue with the way the bulletin board software remembers and resets its 'new posts' pointers but there's no response to improvement requests (Just dont have a 'new posts' search open at 12am GMT)
