Ahh - the path of the F1.

Announce a car but don't actually give away any details or make any claims.

Not at all, everyone is biased to one thing or another - it is just natural.
I'm sure you wouldn't want to work on a car that you didn't feel enthusiastic about.

Similarly they wouldn't employ someone who wasn't keen on what they were doing.

I'd like to see them succeed, I think America needs more specialised sports car/supercar manufacturers.

I'm a little dissapointed that they did go down the road of big power and silly top speeds, which could be seen as an attempt at headline grabbing, and with the styling, but if they can sell them and become an established, respected company like Saleen or Panoz that can only be a good thing.

Their next car can be a bit more sensible

    We do try.

There isn't really much point to a forum of fanboys, but with a community of enthusiasts there is a much greater opportunity to both inform and be informed.
    Thanks for all the fish

JakRcr: Can you please explain how a car (Noble M12) that is designed as a complete performance package and shipped fully assembled from the factory is a kit car?

Also can you please give me your definition of a super car?

Cars such as the Noble are labeled or dubed kit cars.

My definition of a supercar was in a previous post.

Then those doing so are doing so incorrectly. A kit car is one that comes as a pile of parts and an instruction manual (hopefully). The Noble comes fully assembled from the factory, and as such if it is a kit car then so are cars from BMW, Ford, etc....

In post #14 you made some badly worded statement about what you thought were not supercars, and again in post #18 you gave some names of cars you considered not to be supercars. At least it was more legible this time. Post #24 again, no definition, but some arm waving was included. In post #27 you have given no comment on this, nor again in post #30.

Sorry to be pushing the point and from this thread I have gained a greater appreciation of the SSC (but not nessesarily its styling), but I have failed to see the definition of a supercar that you have assured me you have given us twice now.

Cyco: I agree with you, I am just saying that people tend to call those (Noble, etc...) kit cars, why? I am not sure, but nonetheless by fault they seemed branded with that title.

I have found this to be a good definition of a supercar, let me know what you think! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercar

Yes, a Noble is a kit car, what else would you call it? By the way I am not suggesting that it is not a great car, it is. It's just not a supercar.
Why aren't they supercars? Just because they are kit cars doesn't mean that they aren't supercars.

I don't know, I'm with you, but as you know, people don't consider them supercars.

I bet that almost everyone on here considers them supercars. Supercars are supercars because of their performance and not how they are made.

Aight, I'd like to know where your getting the stats for the SSC standard aero. I went to a site and the stats on the quarter mile were 10.98@125 which makes it closer to the enzo and further from the bugatti

Ok, the noble. it is a kit car that takes an engine[civic] and adds a big turbo and an lightweight aerodynamic body. Also, why don't you mention its amazing handling?[1.03g's]

And cars don't have to go over 200 mph to be a supercar, look at the 360's and z06's.....

Quick question, If a 4200 pound car did 4.5 to 60, quarter in [email protected] and maxed out at 186, how far is that from being a supercar?
