can other users steal others' avatars in this web?

i need help.
there's this person caled Big Chevy using the avatar of mine, the Tension Concept.
i wanna keep my avatar original and not used by others.
mods and other senior members please help me out.

I admit, I use other people's avatars from different sites and from here, but when they have in theirs, I don't use it.

I don't like using the same avatar as someone else at the same time. If I want to use someone else's, I'll wait a while after he's changed.

Call the Pope! This is terrible! It has to be fixed right now!

You might as well take it as a compliment that an avatar which you requested to be made (keep in mind that someone ELSE actually made it for you) is being used by someone else. Look at it as a sign of admiration.

EDIT: Oh and if you REALLY want "Big Chevy" to stop using it, it'd help to just kindly PM him with your request, asking him to remove the avatar you requested because you would like to keep it to yourself. Telling him forcibly to get rid of it isn't going to help anything, it'd most likely end up in a flame war.

This is probably best between the two of you to solve, although if it gets 'ugly' so to speak, then I can be here to help. If this is the first measure taken (makign this thread before PM'ing him), then you should probably PM Big_Chevy now, and get this sorted out.

Last time this happened the mods changed the copier's avatar to a reliant robin, didn't they? Why don't they just do the same again?

because it's not obviosu that cadi has done the most obvious first step adn politely ask for him not to use it.

Being reasonable is much better for a forum than being "policed"
