The ALMS season finished last night at Laguna Seca. It was the first race for the Porsche and it won its class by an absolute country mile. I fear it might be pointless anyone else bothering to turn up in the LMP2 class next year, they're gonna be unstoppable.

The nearest competition to the Porsche LMP2 is the Lola B05/40 AER, which will have a V8 instead of an 4 cylinder next year

LMP2 at Le Mans was won this year by a V8 engined Lola. The competition in North America is clearly not up to par with the European series as shown by the Zytek. Here are links to two different B05/40s with V8 engines:

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

The Porsche LMP2 would run circles around it, but I won't go there seeing as they're in different 'genres' of automobile.

Well, I don't even think Ferrari has sold the FXX yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.
