This really might be the deal of the decade.

    $18,000 for a new Solstice.
    $18,000 for the upgrade.

I've not really read much about it since then and of course, we don't see them in the UK...has anyone else read or seen different?
The Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky are supposed to be cheap, entry-level roadsters that provide a fun driving experience. Pricing below the MX-5 for similar performance, and IMHO at least for the Pontiac, a sexier skin. The Sky looks ok..but the Pontiac is just beautiful. It's not supposed to be a world-beater or a supercar...just a fun little affordable roadster A la Miata. It does so extremely well, from what i hear from the magazines, although in the last 2 comparos with the new MX-5 it comes in second, but only by a hair. it's slightly heavier and negligibly slower (on a racetrack, realistically, they're even enough it comes down to driver skill in a race between the 2), but they do give it glowing reviews. The only complaints compared to the MX5 are the top takes longer to put down (you have to get out, unhook the butresses and the top clasps, then open the trunk and fold it in) than the Miata (undo the latch and flop it over your shoulder while still in the drivers seat) and the trunk is smaller, esp. with the top down.
