GM needs to learn from some of you!

General Motosr has released some atrocious chops before but this one really takes the cake. Apparently the trees in the background were taking away to much attention from the C6-R barreling at the camera.

I circled the blatant "touchups", you can see in the large circle, the original background which already looks quite blurred. The trimming around the passenger side mirror is just plain amateur.

What are the diagonal hash marks in the background from? I circled one for emphasis.

And just to show how horrible this pic would look even if it was sized really small for magazine printing, I attached a much smaller version.

Looks like they used a push tool rathe than a blur to make the background blend !

They shoudl get their money back from the image prep company

What's the use of getting three dollars back when you've already lost 5 million

No, I purposefully mispelled GM to see if would defeat the auto-underlining-ad-thingies. Which it did.

Matra, so that was the photoshop equivalent of using a sqeegee to apply paint instead of a brush? And doesn't GM do all their own inhouse photo-editing? I thought was why they sucked so bad...

It may have been done by a PR company or magazine for their own use. SO it may be "cheap". Also a lot of comapnies now do all this stuff outside so they only pay the salaries when you need them You get what you pay for as they say

That pic was straight off GM's media site so GM must have been involved, directly or by a contractor, as you suggested.
