The XJR - 15 racing car was concieved by Jaguar Sport in mid 1988, as a concept vehicle coded project Project R9R. The prime objectives were to create a spectacular two seat version of the Jaguar Le Mans winning Group C racing car. Evaluating, in the process the use of composite materials and plastics in high performance vehicle construction.
Based bechanically on the Le Mans winning Jaguar XJR-9 the XJR15 embodies Jaguar Sport's leading edge technology, and stands out as a truly unique racing car.
