    Team Ultimatecarpage.com Race 4: BRNO

Tonight, the fourth race for the ZAC2 competition will be raced. After 3 races the competition is very close, with the top 3 class drivers within 5 points! we will be racing on the rather unknown, but loved by drivers, circuit of BRNO. I personally like the circuit alot, i have raced several BMW M3 GTR races on it, which all resulted in a win. This is also due to the perfect possibility's of overtaking on the circuit, its wide, has some nice straights before "standardish" corners, and in some corners, different lines may result in faster "out" speeds. So there should be the possibility for some nice manouvres tonight!

    The Track

    AN ONBOARD LAP AROUND BRNO
(the lap is a bit sloppy, but you should get the basic layout, the time i drove there was a 2.03.600)

    Race Time: 75 minutes
Track Conditions: tarmac 30 degrees celcius, dry

Having had lots of practise on this circuit, ill just say one thing. Tonight im going to make sure team ucp.com finally shows its true potential!

    Goals:
Qualify Time: Anything under 2.04 makes me happy
    race pace: 2:04's
    qualifing position: Top 5
    End position: Top 5

    Strategy:
    Soft Front tires
    Med Rear tires
    90 Liters of fuel
    Pit in lap 18

Having had a hard week, i did not have the time to practise GTR (its not a game which you do for 1 lap) But my overal feel for the circuit is pretty good, so i should be able to perform the way I normally do. The circuit is technical, and offers lots of different approaches. the downside of this is, in some corners the feel of grip changes per lap! Im geussing there will be lots of spins tonight, so im gonna try to keep a reasonably fast race pace, but not overdo it, and win on this strategy, rather then sheer speed!

    Goals:
    Qualify Time: 2.02
    race pace: 2:04's
    qualifing position:Top 3
    End position: Top 3

    Strategy:
    Soft Front tires
    Med Rear tires
    90 Liters of fuel
    Pit in: No pit?

    Results and Report
    Roys Report:

    What an awesome race!
I qualified in second position, only 0.002 slower then number 1. This promised something for the race! I had a nice steady pace directly from the start, but lost couldnt hang on to the number 1 ngt car, due to the slowest GT driver driving between us. (yes you read it right, a GT car with a NGT pace!) After he span out, the gap between me and number 1 (koos de boer) stayed a steady 4 seconds. But the gap behind me was about 1 second (Koen van Holsbeeke) The number 1 made a mistake, so me and koen where now 1 and 2. This went on and on (the gap not being larger then 2 seconds all the time) till i made a small mistake, and koen immediatly took the advantage and overtook me. Now i was in second place, and koen in first. The gap still not being bigger then 2 seconds. This went on till the end of the race. Very exciting driving on the edge behind and infront of somebody, without making any big mistakes during the whole race!

in the video it isnt quite obvious, but the elevation change is very dominant, especcialy certain corners.

the following corners are second gear:
    2
4/5/6/7/8 (with shifting between, sometimes chosing 3rd for stability reasons)

Why does Team UCP.com use the RS and not the RSR?
