    Tattoos

Anybody here have any Tattoos? (Pictures please)

I'm about to turn 18, and am considering getting one. Any aforethoughts I should take into effect?

I don't like tattoos.. I think they're tacky, and only look 'good' for a few years, then make people look stupid or influence stereotypes. Plus, I'm not so big on the whole permanent-ink thing.

I'm planning on getting on an arm "braclet" style that stretches in a line from my shoulder, going around my bicep (following the tricep line). Probably around 8-10 inches long.

I'm thinking that it's going to be a blacklight tattoo; one that you can only see under blacklight.

Thats pretty cool, but whatever you do, dont get a faggy arm bracelt one, or just a small one on the bicep, get a whole backpiece. har har har. And get something that 14 years down the road you wont regret, but whatever you do, please do not get a 'bracelet' let, or armband one. please...
And if you do get one, take care of it, if it fades, get it done again.

You'll wish you never did it when you're (your skin) old. Tattoos add nothing, a gimmick that's fun for a week IMO.

Did anybody ever consider getting an automotive themed tattoo... nothing ridiculous like the entire chevy lineup stenciled on your back, but maybe like a small maserati trident, or ferrari prancing horse on your shoulder or whatever.... remember, i mean SMALL and inconspicuous... nothing extravagant, just something to declare your allegiance as a 'gear-head'

Why not try something temporary first. Show it off as the real thing. See what that gets you, then you can decide whether you want it on you forever? Show it to a girl, the type you'd want to marry not a **** buddy, and see what she thinks.

You said 8-10 inch long bracelet around your bicep. You need to work out more!!

When I think about tattos I immediately remember those old fat guys at the beach wearing decolored tattoos. They look nasty. In the future you will be a (tattoed) parent and eventually a grandparent; do you really want your sons and grandchildren to see you like that? I don't, hence no tattoos.

in response to a few comments above

-i would consider a porsche creste on somewhere not often seen

-8-10 inches on your bicep is freakin teeny tiny, my wrists are like 7 1/2"

-getting a temp and showing it off as real is a good idea, see the reactions (henna lasts longer, but its black or brown i believe)

    hers some ideas for you:
