Why do concepts always look better than the productions
First reason is mainly cost
But then they need to maximise sales and so use "focus groups" to identify what is "acceptable" to the majority of respondants and so exotic design is transformed in to suburban mediocrity

It's to bad that so many concepts get taken apart or destroyed after they have been showed to the world : /

Sorry if I missed it having been mentioned... but I know one, Ford Seattle-ite. One of the best concepts ever, I think.
Those are superb. They should have made those real even just for display purposes.
