Fror the type of bike they are, that's irrelevant. Really, if you're chosing between the two, find the one in the best condition (service record, tyres and chain) for your budget.

Ta for the insight, motorbikling dudes. I reckon I'll find some second hand bike lots and take a couple of bikes out for a test ride so I can get used to a clutch again then seriously get shopping.

The postie woulda been better up the hill if the coldness wasn't making the oil all gloopy and robbing what little performance it has... at least, I wouldn't have had to change back down a gear. Mayhaps we should give the little beastie a good send off before I move it on...

I'm not sure I can take that somewhere other than chunks or bad 'death techno' covers of Metallica, so have another old meme.

So I just watched an Australian horror movie. Well, they tried to trick you by calling it a documentary but pffft...

I actually did see one called Black Water. Was supposed to be based on true events where 3 people got cornered by a crocodile in a mango grove. I kept thinking the entire time that I'd be more afraind of about 30 other animals you have there than I would be of a crocodile. I'd be afraid to go in the trees to get away from the croc cause there's probably some sort of uber deadly squirrel that nobody's ever heard of because it kills anything that gets within 30 yards of it just for interrupting what it was doing. And did it occur to anyone that maybe the reason the croc is dumping boats to get the chewy bits inside is that the fish in the river were to tough to mess with?

Edit: Right, forgot the point of the post. Since that's now 2 movies in the last couple weeks I've seen from australia, I was wondering how many movies are actually made down there? Do you guys have a place like hollywood or orlando, or is it just the occasional flick?

crocodiles can launch themselves 9 metres up a beach to get prey, so it's not like staying out of the water always works.
you gotta figure that an animal that pretty muched reached the evolutionary apex of ambush predators millions of years ago and hasn't had to change since, is not to be taken slightly.

Yeah, that was another thing, in the movie they were standing 3 inches from the water and were somehow perfectly safe. Expected better from an aussie flick...

Still not something I'd consider the scariest animal in australia, though. We have alligators in the US, which are mostly smaller versions of what you get. You have to respect them but other than that I wouldn't say I'm terrified of them. An aussie horror film has so many possibilities that they don't get in other parts of the world and they go for something common?
