It's the Ferrari Rossa Pininfarina concept car.

They had this car at Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years back. Didn't think someone bought it; just thought Ferrari were displaying it.

Pininfarina still has it. It has little to do with Ferrari.

It seems convertible, as it seems to have a black roof, and the front rembers me of the old 365 GT 2+2/400/412 4-seater Ferraris. Maybe a convertible one of those?

It was built a few years before the 550 Barchetta, so nobody would ever see it as a Barchetta with a body kit.

    It was earlier nonetheless.

Ah right, I presumed it was in Ferrari's paws. Either way, I know it didn't change hands.

i allways thought this car was the direction ferrari should have taken in its design... loooks much much better than today's 599999 GTB ( why the hell was it not just the 600gtb!?) or the F430...

Speaking of that does anyone know whether the numbers 599 has a meaning? (Yes I know I could look it up myself, but it's Saturday AND I'm feeling lazy)

If I'm not mistaken the cubic capacity of the engine is 5999cc, hence the "599".
