This happened overnight in testing, luckaly he was able to walk away from it.

3rd pic is interesting - I'm interested to know how 1/2 the tyre marks go straight, while the others cross

No Mr. Craig, I expect you to die! On the inside. Of heartbreak. You emo bitch
I like the perfect in-print of the car in the barrier in the first pic.
Grotty crash though - he would have been dead ten years ago.

The crash might have been caused by aerodynamic instability... (moving rear wing maybe? At the European GP 2006, while braking and going over kerbs the Ferrari F1-248 rear wing could be seen moving quite a bit)

my conclusions are : truck and the others are from the car or it could be from the car fishtailing and spinningOriginally Posted by Pando
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
If I had to guess, the ones on the left of the truck are from the front of the car, and the ones on the right are from the back. If that's true, to me, it looks like he basically took the corner too fast and spun out.
My version is the ones at the left of the truck are from the rear and the ones at the right of the truck are from the front.Originally Posted by digitalcraft
If you attach four pencils to the corners of rectangular pice of wood you would be able to recreate skid marks... It's an old trick I saw in a magazine quite some years ago.
And I agree, it's amazing what they can walk away from now... thank goodness.

Zag when they Zig
Apparently Ferrari needs testing on the edge of the possible
Do you think the car would have had the time (and space) to flip around like that in that part of the corner (and track)? Perhaps he was trying the Scandinavian flick.Originally Posted by magracer

In the exit of the turn the back sliped and the car spun to the outside of the turn, the tire marks seem consistent to that, then he hit the wall backwards... IMO.

I think you are reading it from the point of view of the truck and I meant it from the point of view of the photographer... so I guess no scandinavian flick, bummer...Originally Posted by Pando
