2 long known European brands bite the dust

Yep, Rover went bankrupt and broke up, and TVR announced that it will be closing it's doors.

    Rover bites the dust

and the article about TVR colsing it's doors (which we all probably saw coming) can be found in the current (July 2006) issue of Automobile magazine.
I have found a new love in the form of a tristar.

TVR isn't in much trouble if the owner has invested enough money to move to a new more modern factory. Bad luck blackpool though.

Damn, that scared me for a second.

Rover's shady deal with the Chinese fell through, according to EVO magazine, putting the once-great company out of it's misery. Poor, Poor Rover. They were like a 20 year-old mule that wouldn't allow itself to be unharnessed so that the farmer could shoot it. After making so many totally rubbish cars, they start threatening to make some decent ones, and Bang, right in the ear.

But I was under the impression that TVR was doing OK... I really hope so. They're such cute little things.

Yes, cute is exactly the word I would use to define a TVR...

LOL, yes they're so cuddly and adorable. They remind me of little bunny rabbits, in all sorts of funky colors.

I'd consider them more like Dr.Jekill and Mr Hyde. On the one hand nice, quite affordable and good sounding. And on the other it goes mental and just wants to kill you...

    Nope.
As for Rover - what's the point in announcing something that happened 1,5 years ago and isn't even true anymore?
And TVR isn't closing its doors, they're simply relocating the factory. At least let's hope this official version is true
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.
