This weekend the first race in the Norwegian Racing championship took place at Rudskogen racetrack in southern Norway. Some 550 km each way for me to drive A bit fare, but all in all vorth it in the end.
I was very exited about this race because of the different things I had done to my car over the winter (exhaust, new dry-sump pan, new water hoses ++).
All the things you may have done wrong is likely to apear the first race or test pass .. But after a few rounds in the first test pass I found out that every new feature was ok...
BUT my LSD was broken. That is the same as driving without LSD and in a car with so much horsepower and so few kilos it's difficult to drive without..
So we decided to get hand on a rep-kit to the LSD and fix it on track Inn all, that means we had to tear the whole rear-end appart and the axel in pices. And after changing the plates inside the LSD it was fixed. Not so difficult, but it takes some time.. so after 8,5 hours of work, we were finish..
On Saturday it was more training and time qual.. It was a good day on the track for me with no problems at all, and I ended up with 7th starting position ..
Sunday was race-day with two finals to be raced..
First race I got a bad start, but drove my way up to 7th position and ended there.. This year we have started with still-standing start, and that was new to me.. So second race I did also got a bad start. But this time I also managed to fight my way up to 8th position..
I'm very pleased with the results, since it was 17 cars that made it to the finish-line. And I'm sniffing on the top 5 positions. wich is one of my goals for the season. some positions amongst the top 5
There was also a brilliant racing weekend with alot of classic cars, super production 600 cc motorbikes, special saloon cars and the rawest class, Supercars..(700-900 hp) I have loads of pics.. I'll start off today with some of me.. But more will come in the coming days of different classes..
Hope you like the pics
