Not sticking with KM/Sony? I'm seriously considering chucking down an order for a Tamron 70-200 f2.8. Only for $1000 when they come out in May, though that's a grand off the new bike fund.

Nope, Sony does not currently have a body that I would be interested in, and the range of lenses is currently not up to scratch either. I've received a LOT of recommendations from a lot of people about Canons, they feel the most comfortable, they have the best current lens range and... the big ones are off-white.

Unless Sony brings out some stuff that REALLY challenges the current Nikon/Canon crop, I'm definitely sticking to my decision. The only thing they have to offer right now is a good quality full frame body that's a couple grand above my budget, and I'd be just as happy with a 5D Mk. I once the Mk. II comes out, plenty good as a full frame.

Tell me about it! I have one of those in front of the consoles and TV in my room - friends refer to it as "The Seat of Power"! I could sit in it for hours and all I need to "complete" it is the black leather footstool to match, although a cushion on top of the TV bench works almost as well.

That is AWESOME!!! Is it kinda like those factory-built, custom spec. houses that are becoming popular around the world? If so, does anyone know if you can get that sort of thing in the UK and for what price?

Yes, you can get them in the UK.
No they aren't "factory-built" , but are custom designed around standard parts to give you anything you want. So they turn out cheap
I'm still negotiating with my family to release the bottom of the garden for one large enoguh to store 4 cars and have ramps to work on 2 more Not been winning this battle

There are lots of suppliers now and you can usually find a franchise local to you. Here's a start to see what's availabel ... Steel Buildings - OZ-UK Steel Garages and Fair Dinkum Homes and Sheds - Sheds and Industrial Buildings

Can you just get garage doors from them? We kinda need completely new doors and motors seeing as someone fitted motors to ours in the early 1990's not realising we have the wrong doors, the motors will just about pull the doors open, but can't push them closed.
