We got itMust be that time of the year, Everyone is getting LCD's..
After 12 long and seversable years of being treated like shit!, Our trusty old Samsung 68cm TV is loosing it's battle, I'm afraid it's slowly slipping away to the place with all the other dead TV's.
But!, What to do?, Go for the Samsung 40" LCD 1080p which in a package deal tosses in the Blue Ray player from Samsung free?, Or buy a dirty big 80cm CRT for $500?.
What is amazing is how normal TV is now viewed in HD!, Better quality it seems then watching a DVD..
Our free 2 air stations give us a few HD channels, They run up too 1080i..
When the Blu-Ray player arrives I'm dyeing too see 1080p on blu-ray disc.

HD on TV is amazing quality, Makes DVD's look shit!.
This is only 1080i HD Free to air channel, Max our channels do now.
Haven't received my blu ray player yet

I've never really noticed a huge difference. TBH. but we have crap reception round my parts so if you want clear TV at all you need HD.

No. Progressive scan isn't designed for broadcast. Interlacing uses half the bandwidth.
