I would do what someone I know has done.
Get a Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo and tune the engine to 1000HP
NOthing much to the outside but maby some sort of air intake in the hood for the turbo, and paint it the shockwave blue of the BA Falcon.
The interior i would fit bucket seats in black and blue leather, slightly upgrade sound system and obviously new gagues.
I would also get the car as light as possible.
I want to die in my sleep like my Grandma, not screaming like the other 3 people in her car.

    BMW E30 M3 as a base.
Keep everything as period-correct as possible.
Build up an M20 straight-six; complete with 6 individual throttle-bodies.
    Suspension/Brakes from a DTM E30
Stiffen up the chassis/body; but no roll-bars inside
Re-do the whole interior in black alcantara.
Paint it a dark silver with black BBS rims.
Take off the rear wing; keep it looking normal, boring, and understated.
    Oh, and straight-pipe it.

Think of it as an E30 M3 GTR

Basically... Take my car. Throw in a HPA Stage 3 R32 drivetrain. H&R Coilovers and swaybars. Eurosport upper and lower strut bars. Audi TT dashboard, Mk4 doorcards. StopTech big brake kit. Carbon fiber hood, hatch, and fenders (color matched). Euro bumpers, Abt front lip and sideskirts, and Porsche Boxster 17" twists.

Oh, she shall be mine. All in good time... *evil grin*

1970 HG Monaro, take it to Dencar, and have them build a full V8 Supercar chassis and suspension then bolt all the panels back on, fit it with a 7 litre LS6 with C5R heads and 8-throttle body manifold and a T-56. Then put a towbar on so I can tow a 7 CSR260 Lightweight to the track at 250kmh.

I would use a Mazda Miata as a donor car. I would then make my own Lotus 7 type car with all carbon fiber body panels. It would have racing seats with 5 point harnesses anchored to the roll bar. It would have a manual 6-speed and basic gauges. The engine would be from the Miata with a remapped ECU, new intake, and new exhaust. The suspension would be fully adjustable with inboard shocks. The wheels would be 16 inches and it would have Brembo drilled and slotted rotors with 4 pot calipers up front with the same setup at the rear. I would try to keep weight very near 1000lbs.

I would use my car too.

    1998 Chevy Blazer LT

    Ok here goes.

First off rip out the 4.3lt V6 and its tranny and drop in (with modifications of course) a Chevy 350 crate engine, with appropriate transmisson.

Next completly rip out the rest of the drivetrain and use a Dana 35 front axle, and a 44 in the rear. all of this on a skyjacker 6" lift and 33" tall Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires on 15" American Racing 767's (the black ones) New dics brake kits all around.

Then throw on a black powdercoated all pro off road winch bumper and grill guard, and a 1000lb Warn winch. Also a Wilderness off road roof light bar so I can blind innocent old ladies when on the highway. And probably a set of fender flares to keep the tires legal.

    Thats it

Mini panelvan shell with the Prodrive P2 running gear in it, mid-engined though. Refit interior with stereo, proper seats.. adjustible suspension for rally/track days, enlarged wheel arches so I can put bigger wheels in over the uprated brakes... drums wouldn't really suffice, methinks.

    How about this,

Once I'm rich (but not necessarily famous... only a question of time!), i'll commission each one of you to build TWO examples of your dream cars... ONE for me and the OTHER for you!

I think a Clubman/Lotus 7-type car is fundamentally different to most other cars. Why would you turn an MX-5 into a 7?
