    2007 needs a new diesel

so I'm filling up my little nissan and I get to looking at the diesel pump right next to the gasoline pump I am using. It has a 40 cetane minimum rating, right below that, however, I see a sticker that says "Federal Law prohibits the use of this fuel in vehicles or engines model year 2007 and beyond."

I'm wondering if anyone knows what this may be about?

Yes. The USA is finally introducing modern, low-sulphur diesel fuel thats at or near the same standard as Euro diesel, and to make use of this, new diesel vehicles sold in the USA will only be able to run on the modern diesel to reduce pollution and try and phase out the old diesel.

so where do the 2007 model year vehicles go to get diesel?

most fuel stations would still have the old diesel

Denamrk has had high grade diesel for years and it is cheaper than the gasoline (still costs 8dk a liter)
Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it

Volkswagens are cutting all diesels for 2007. They are supposed to return in '08. I'm not sure if other companies are cutting thier diesel engine options in thier vehicles.
