D*mn, you have the my dream job. I'd love to work for Audi, esp. then one here given it shares a building with Porsche.

Does the dealer let you take anything home every so often?

Quattroman, I just got a job as a salesman at an undisclosed dealership, been working there for about a month, and I'd like to talk to you about a couple of things/tactics/ideas, if I possibly could.

can I get your e-mail so I can e-mail you a couple of things?

Nope, never. The managers hardly, if ever, let you take a mustang GT out for a test drive by yourself. However, the GM at my dealership makes roughly 10 million a year (!), so he can do whatever the hell he wants with any car that he wants.

Oh, but I'm sure that if you push a good 40 units a month, then the GM will let you come in at any time that you want, any days of the week, and let you take any car you want home for the night.

I just got home from work, and it was possibly one of the best days EVER.

    I....

I made $4,250 in one day. Wow. The potential for money is there if you work hard enough.

However, I figure it's not too important if we converse across E-mail. I can ask you the questions here on the forum. So,

    1. Do you guys use cardone?
    2. Are you at a high or low pressure dealership?
    3. How many units do you push a month?
    4. What incentives do you get?
    5. What pay structure do you have?
    6. Have you ever read "confessions of a car salesman"?
    7. What's your biggest whale?
    8. What does your dealership do with people with low credit?
    9. What tactics do you use to get a person more 'flexible' with the price?
    10. How do you deal with moochers?
    11. What do you do about ad units?
    12. You ever find this trade morally corrupt?

There's more to come, but I'll leave it with this.

I made $4,250 in one day. Wow. The potential for money is there if you work hard enough.

wow!!!! you're doing great bro, we sell 140+ cars a month.....

However, I figure it's not too important if we converse across E-mail. I can ask you the questions here on the forum. So,

    1. Do you guys use cardone?

    what is "cardone"
    2. Are you at a high or low pressure dealership?
big time high pressure dealership,if a person dose not have experience cant work here, they pay well so they are looking for expert brand specialists only.

    3. How many units do you push a month?
    140+

    4. What incentives do you get?
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    5. What pay structure do you have?
    same$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    6. Have you ever read "confessions of a car salesman"?
try not to read bull-sh!t stuff bro,be good to your customers youll be ok.

    7. What's your biggest whale?
    $22,000 on a BMW Z8,

    8. What does your dealership do with people with low credit?
Open the door kick there @ss out,the funny thing about people with low-bad credit is, they always want the best stuff but, don't
want to pay for it""""fn JACK'S..!""""""

    9. What tactics do you use to get a person more 'flexible' with the price?

Tatics is not the right way to sell cars, you need to know your car,the person
you are dealling with has to trust you at-least 1%,you should sell audi, you wont need "tactics"

    10. How do you deal with moochers?
Moochers are the JAP car drivers, there so use to paying $199 payment for jap cars they think they can walk-in and buy a German cars for the same payments...LOL!!!

    11. What do you do about ad units?

I hate ad cars, brings out the moochers!
    12. You ever find this trade morally corrupt?
    neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
There's more to come, but I'll leave it with this.

It means how much in front-end profit there was on a deal. A X-pound means that there was X thousand dollars in gross profit. I had a deal with a 14 pounder, and quattro had one for a 22-pounder. We generally make 25% of the gross profit, so I took home $3,500, and he took home $5,500.

    And quattroman:

    You personally push 140 units?

And also, does your GM get pissed whenever you ask him a question? Is that system prevalent all across the country?

And 'cardone' is the system of retorting any objections.
    ex.
    -No problem
    -I wouldn't expect you to
    -I understand
-You don't have to buy today, do you?
    -Would you consider?
    etc, etc.

Fascinating stuff. I thought about getting into that line of work myself but decided it wasn't shady enough for me so I became an attorney instead! Seriously, though, I've met a few experienced car salesmen and they make some serious bank. Like anything where you can make a lot of money, they worked very hard to get where they are and earned every penny. A lot of time standing around the dealership six days a week.

I wish!!!!! 15-25 cars that makes me $17,000 a month.

I've always wanted to...frankly, I know more about cars than most of the salespeople we've dealt with and I'm certain I could be a good salesman.

How does one break into the game?
An it harm none, do as ye will
