    Volkswagon Phaeton vs Bentley Continental

Do you want subtlety or a fake Bentley?

Im going for the Phaeton, "Oh, there's a Passat.... which appears to be travelling at warp 5... and I can't keep up in my rep-mobile Mondeo ST"

That's cuz it's W12 Phaeton mother-f*cker HAH HAH HAH HA HA HAH!

if i'm allowed to sell whichever i get immediately, the more expensive bentley. if i have to live with it, the phaeton.

    and... breath!

as much as i think that the Conti is a phaeton in drag, ill go for it, although id prefer a flying spur ("oh theres some hulking behemoth behing me, but im in my M5, i can catch it" its a 208 mph saloon. I think not)

I would be sorely tempted by the Flying Spur....

the continental does around 195 mph which is way better than the limited M5. you also get much more choices for customization in a bentley.
If you want to do something wrong, do it right

ok, i might be wrong, but im sure that the M5 can just hit 200, but that the Conti hit 208 at nardo, and the driver geussed that without the rpm limiter it would of hit 210

Yeah - and this is a comparison between the Bentley and the VeeDub, not the M5!

I'll take the Bentley. It won't depreciate as much...

And Mr. K, were you drunk when you wrote the opening post?

yes, i forgot to point that out, but either way the look on their face as they sit there wondering why it wont go past 155 would have to be pretty funny

Particularly as you spelt 'Volkswagen' wrong- bad for a supposedly respectable motoring journalist...

The Phaeton, bought used or off lease, is a real bargain right now. For free, I'd take the Bentley though.
