Not really, not for something thats bound to be $100K+. Those sorts of buyers probably have bigger problems than petrol prices

People who spend 100k on a car don't usually hold their breath for petrol prices...

I just got a full tank $84... $1.29.5 p/l Isn't it going up to $2?? I think that was all shit.
I was and am still a fan of the XU6 i just think it's real potential has only been found in buyers hands.
A guy had a stock VT Commodore S V6 S/c with sports exhaust LSD blower kit ran 13's. these blower kits could have been set up to get a easy 200kw with 500Nm not going overboard. Yella Terra has always had one that was capable of getting 40-50% more torque. If i had one i would kit it up.

Theres no gurantee though that with the blower kits they still wouldve satisfied all the manufacturers standards.

Just going back to the Grange discussion, old Harding confirmed to GoAuto there is a Grange in the works, but it won't be out for a little while.
Some fair points regarding the GTS' halo-ness. I guess you don't really need extra power for a halo model. But then again, the only really distinguishing feature is the MRC modes, which isn't a whole lot. Also, a few HSV buyers aren't too smart (bogans who got rich etc.), and will scoff at the fact that it hasn't got more power than its "lower" siblings.

Its also heavier than the R8

I read the MRC is a big change in the suspension when driving, More noticed in the Senator maybe because it runs softer?.

Probably. I wouldnt be surprised if for the Senator it runs over a softer range, but perhaps still has the capability to run stiffer than without the MRC

I like the idea of it but I'm not sure what it would be like, I know they say it's fine i think it's a good step i have always watched top gear and see them playing with buttons and switches and thinking why can't Aussie cars have something like that?.

Well do we know whether it'll be a completely automatic system, or whether there'll be a range of manually selectable ranges? Does the Corvette have something like that?
I'd imagine a few people may be caught out if it was stuck adjusting automatically, although you could say the same for variable steering racks

I'm lost with it But it seems to be more capable then DOD.
I like to ignore the vettes i think they are beep beep beep

MRC is a switchable ride control which has Performance and Track settings on the GTS, with Luxury and Performance settings for the Senator.
Track mode on the GTS, combined with 20" wheels, rides like a race tuned supercar.
^^ HSV's words, not mine. There is a dash switch to change the settings.
V8 supercar inspired?Originally Posted by GoAuto
I think not.
Anyway, FPV already uses the whole V8 supercar inspired theme...
The only V8 supercar design they look inspired by is Fords...
