    Perhaps some may find it amazing, but America WANTED a FRENCH car that was described as having "remarkably quick acceleration", "a wide comfortable seat", "great stability on the road" and "superior economy" back in the 30s.

    While Googling for Matford, I found Mathis, which has a remarkably similar badge, and was built in Strasbourg

    That white circle with the red center looks like the logo of the old Lehigh & New England railroad, which ceased operations in 1961.

    I've not (yet) used only railroad company logos. It has always a car link.
