I think Rolls-Royce's founder was a perfectionist and although he is one, I don't think they use robots to make the cars. Everything is completely hand made.

The Cadillac Eldorado Brougham had that feature almost 50 years ago (1957-'58).Originally Posted by Timothy (in VA)

Thanks for all the fish
Actually, I didn't know that. Now I do. Volkswagen is obviously still bitter about losing Rolls-Royce to BMW .Originally Posted by cmcpokey

i wouldnt trust wiki 100%, afterall, anybody can edit the info on it....
just imo
They do have a consortium checking on the info posted and verify them. That's why i wouldn't say 100% but thoroughly reliable. Hmm i've posted a few stuffs there as well, was astonished someone actually edited what i posted (in better english) and it stays there. **Try check on Sony VAIO, and i'm the one who contributed the design of the VAIO logo, the spectrums of analog waves and the digital signal of 1001010101 that made up the VAIO's logo. Hence its a very well designed logo that states the entertainment merging with digital inputs. (Entertainment used to be transffered in analog signal)
thank you all for your links and pictures. i have to submit my project next week so till then if you find anything just let me know.
If you want to do something wrong, do it right
Well, for starters, don't concentract your efforts on that rapper-mobile dze Germans are making.
If you want to research what most consider the finest Rolls-Royce motor car, look into the Post WWI-era Silver Ghost. Most that were manufactured are still running, many on original major engine components.
Seems like Lawrence... which one was that, S.E.? anyway, the one that was famously of Arabia, used a fleet to cross whatever desert needed crossing so that he could get famous enough for a long movie.
Also, the R/R Merlin engine probably saved England. There's a Spitfire depicted on a stained glass window somewhere in a British church. That'd be good for a historical fun-fact.
Also, Rolls-Royce Jet engines powered the Concorde and Harrier and are a high-ticket option on most commercial airliners.
But don't focus on the Rollers made prior to the German buy-out. They'll never be regarded with the same reverence as examples built by greasy Englishmen, though inarguably better engineered and assembled vehicles.
oh and if u need reference for my scans,
it is ....
BBC - Top Gear magazine, February 2006
pages 30 and 31
Also, The R/R emblem in the centre of the wheels is always the correct way up because of ball bearings inside so it can stay still while the wheel is rotating. Thats what people are paying mega-bucks for.
Definitely, if I were rich I would never spend my money on a Bentley Arnage T. Comparing this Bentley with the Rolls-Royce Phantom is a completely waste of time. The Rolls-Royce is 99% hand-made and it's made of the best alloys, leathers and materials known. Overmore, the V12-engine performance of the Phantom is unreachable by the Arnage V8...

Yeah, they lovingly carve each tyre by hand from a solid block of rubber.Originally Posted by nonapulti
