    Those RX-7s are quite beautiful.

I think the Mazda RX-7 (most models and years) is one of the greatest cars of all time.

    They're just brilliant cars.

Again That has a Direct Injection Turbo engine that can limit torque as required (i.e in the 3MPS, quite a fair bit ) The rotary isn't new technology, it just needs more improving.

Yes but ppiston engines are quite mainstream, whereas rotarys aren't. I suppose that's why Ford doesn't want to let Mazda fiddle with them. They must feel that working with conventional engines is a safer bet.

Now I love pop-up headlamps. They're ace. I hope that one day they make a comeback. However, deep down, I really like it a lot better with the normal style conversion. And that bothers me.

And fwiw, I'll take the yellow one, though maybe not actually in yellow. And without the shit wing mirrors.

If Ford was conservative there wouldn't have been rotaries at all.

I dont think they'll make a 4wd RX-7. Part of selling a rotary engined vehicle has always included unnecessary weight so you dont feel the lack of torque so much. RWD would be fine unless theyre pushing out something like 400hp+

I love love love RX-7s, and RE-A makes some of the best kits around by far. Saw a guy with a (so he claimed) 9 second street RX-7, which was amazing, the RE kit just made it that much nicer.
