Microsoft Grand Prix Manager game circa 96

Hey guys and gals, Ive been playing this game lately, found it on an old abandonwares site. What Im wondering is if anyone knows of any sims that have come out in the last 2-5 yrs that are focussed more on team management and not so much the driving itself. And not necessarily Formula One based either.
I dont know why but Ive found that race simulators get boring for me, especially on the PS2 because my thumbs get so damn sore from modulating the bloody throttle...
    Any help much appreciated.

Do you need hi-speed net to play it though? I was thinking more along the lines of a single player stand alone game.

You don't actually see the race or anything graphic, so dial-up will do fine.

I don't think that's what Daz27 was thinking about. I love BATracer, but in this case we're probably looking for a game where you have to chose drivers, look for sponsors, manage the R&D, chose suppliers, decide the practice regime etc. A motorsport version of Championship Manager.
I used to play such a game, it was also web-based, but I can't find the name now. The problem is it had poor graphics, so I wouldn't recommend it even if I remembered its name.
So are there any "Motorsport Manager" games?
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

I remember I had one, can't remeber the name but it was bloody difficult to get past even one year...

I think not. We've finished 6th F1 2006 season in November and decided to give ourselves a little break. Maybe there's some ucp game in other series but I highly doubt it.
