    yeah that's what i'm talking about! you brits were too spoiled - taking pics of bentleys, astons and ferraris here and there! no more of it haha!

    Insurance is a pain in the 'assholes' I ot quoted £3590 for a J reg Merc 190D, £2560 for an L reg Mazda 323 1.3LXi 3dr yet £2580 for an '03 reg Ford Focus Zetec 1.6i 5dr... - I know which one I'm having. Focus under Dad's name FTW!

    Yup.

    Putting a P reg Volkswagen T4 1.9TDi under my Mums name is £160 a year for her and £300 for me, yet over £1700 for me as named driver!

    Funnily enough I did that before I had my license (lied and said I had one) and was quoted £2,000 for my Corsa. Upon passing my test though, that quote went down to £1,600...go figure.

    I'm insured under my mum's name for £680 now though...there's no way I'd pay a grand more for the same thing.
