CL 63 AMG launched in Sydney

The first impression the new CL is rounder. Chrome enhancements on the front bumper/spoiler. AMG 20" wheels are fitted. Quad exhausts are used like any AMG vehicles. Overall feel is good. Big car has a big price. I'ii rather to buy a Aston Martin DB9 Coupe.

I sat in one of these last weekend... it's massive.

There's surprisingly little room in the back, considering that it's almost the size of the new S-Class.

It weighs about as much as a city.

The visibility is absolutely terrible, even out the front windshield. I don't know how a car could be so big and not have room for windows.

All in all, not my style, but unfortunately I don't know if you'd actually want to own one even if it was your style.

I like it. It's probably what Mercedes-Benz does best, elegant massive 2-door coupes.

The rims are an interesting point. Four years ago 18 inch was considered big on aftermarket cars, now we have 20's on a production vehicle.
It all just changes so fast.

    Love that front end

I sat in the CL65 AMG at the AutoRai and I must agree with Egg Nogg... the car just feels like a massive estate... It's huge, but the windows are too small in comparison.

BTW, the CL65 should cost around €300,000. Just figure what you can get for that kinda money...

    300.000€?

That's overkill. The CL63 costs half of that.

Beautiful car. Love it, it just looks classy and the S is an amazing car and this is supposed to be no different.

but, on the money issue, let's do this in good ol' Sterling.
    CL63 will be approximately £100,000
    CL65 will be approximately £145,000
That's how the last one was and thats how i expect this one to go.

Well the new CL-600 as quoted from the official Canadian website is $185,000 that makes €300,000 pretty much impossible seing as how euro >cdn dollar..

I am a larger fan of the CLK then the Cl, i don't want to drive around a boat..and am not a fan of the side AMG decals..too flashy and less classic.

I'm with you guys on the price (too expensive), but the AMG versions look pretty good. The rest looks far too bland for my tastes.

Probably. I don't see how it changes my point though. I don't see how something could be the size of the new S-Class and not have very much room inside. It almost defies physics.
