Yeah, any President who is in office during a 4.4% unemployment rate and in which 160,000 jobe were added just last month and the stock market just hit a record high two times last week, sure is a "miserable failure!"

We make changes in the government by voting. And, sometimes, but having a recall vote (like was done with the former California "Grey-out" Davis.
We don't need to storm congress... we vote instead.

That was happening before Bush was in office. There was also a trade deficit during the Clinton administration. But, of course, many people blame it entirely on Bush.

The events themselves illustrate an event with a desirable outcome. They perpetrators could have gotten out and beaten or killed the old lady but in this case they didn’t. The gun nut element will always use this type of anecdote as proof that gun proliferation is the answer to crime and the best form of self defence. There has not been any empirical evidence to show that you are safer in such a situation with a gun for self defence that without one.
The detrimental effects of widespread gun proliferation are easier t point out however.
